Ingredients

2 and 1/4 cups all purpose flour

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 tsp.baking soda

 1 teasp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. salt

2 large eggs

1 cup ( 2 sticks) real butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.  Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in larger mixing bowl until creamy.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Gradually beat in flour mixture.  Stir in chocolate chips or chocolate/caramel swirl chips or peanut butter and chocolate  chips mixed together.  Drop by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheets.  I put Silpat ( a French baking liner) down on my baking sheets. Parchment paper works too.

Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.  My oven cooks quicker than that, so watch the cookies to make sure they don’t burn.  Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes, that remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 4-5 dozen cookies
