Black Beans(Instapot)

Ingredients

1 pound of dry black beans ( no need to soak overnight , just rinse beans)

1/2 med. onion (not chopped)

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 -2 teaspoon cumin

5 cups vegetable broth

Directions

Pressure cook for 30 min. on high.

Then steam release naturally for 20 min.

Remove onion and strain off excess cooling liquid if you like.

Can freeze for up to 1 month.

Can switch to sautés mode after pressure cooking to evaporate some of the liquid, maybe for 10-15 min.
